Where will the Top 5 Quarterbacks Land- 2019 NFL Draft

The 2019 NFL Draft begins Thursday Night and five top rated Quarterbacks may find a home in the first round. Kyle Murray will be the first focus, due to the "over hyped" coverage being produced on all networks. If you've read any articles in the last couple of months, you already know that Murray will be a great fit for the Arizona Cardinals. Kliff Kingsbury, the new head coach of the cardinals, may run an offense that Murray is very familiar with since both are from the offensive focused Big 12 Conference. Murray is extremely quick, displays incredible arm strength, and uses both effectively. The Cardinals may stick with previous first round pick, Josh Rosen of the 2018 draft, but I believe Murray will be selected first overall no matter what.

Will Grier, another distinguished Big 12 QB, may find a perfect fit in the first round. The Miami Dolphins are in deep need of quarterback play. The 2019-2020 season will be a major rebuild for Miami and Grier could learn a lot from veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick. Grier throws on the run better than many other quarterbacks already in the NFL and would bring a lot of playing experience to the Dolphins.

Dwayne Haskins will be joining another Big Ten superstar on Thursday Night, because the New York Giants are the perfect fit for this young QB. Let's face it, Eli Manning is getting old and the Giants need a talented backup to learn from the Veteran before he retires. Haskins is an excellent pocket passer, very similar to Manning's earlier seasons, while also dealing with a slow speed. I believe a year under Manning will help him develop successfully.

The final two quarterbacks of the 1st round will be Drew Lock of Missouri and Daniel Jones of Duke. Starting with Lock, I believe the perfect fit for the 6"4 QB would be Denver, due to their past of drafting several big passers.  A year under newly appointed starter Joe Flacco would do the trick for the strong armed QB from the SEC. Daniel Jones on the other hand could fall to the reigning Champions, the New England Patriots. Jones's most valuable strength is his ability to read the field and escape pressure, factors Tom Brady has excelled at. The Charlotte, NC native could turn out to be the best quarterback of the 2019 draft.
