Young Potential Star

There is a young player in Triple A ball right now that is tearing it up for the Reno Aces, affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. This kid is from my home town, Auburn, NY and played Division-III baseball at nearby Ithaca College. He's a 6-1, 200 pound utility player who has played every position in his professional career except for pitcher and catcher. He was the shortstop at Ithaca College and started to diversify himself to multiple positions. He is now primarily playing outfield with the Aces and in some time with the Diamondbacks. This young star was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2013 and has speed that will catch anyone's eye. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers Organization for international pool money to acquire Vladamir Gurerro Jr. He made his MLB debut last year. His name is Tim Locastro, aka TLo.

Locastro is hitting the lights out of the ball and has a .390 batting average in Reno with 5 HRs. In 16 plate appearances in Arizona he has a .364 batting average and a .563 on base percentage. He's one of the hottest hitters in all of minor league baseball and the Diamondbacks are screwing up. Their second baseman is hitting .200 in 40 at bats in Arizona. Lets not forget Locastro had to go from SS in college to 2B in his first professional season to make way for more smooth shortstops. This kid can play 2B at a high level. And he can hit. Not to mention he has 2 triples and 3 stolen bases in only 10 games in Reno. If the Diamondbacks can't find room for TLo on their day to day roster (he is on the 40 man) a struggling team like the Orioles should take a look because this young star can flat out play and could make a huge impact on any team, at any position.
